Samsung's Galaxy Note Fan Edition Is a Safe Note 7
When the Milky way Note 7 failed very publicly, it left Samsung not only with a PR nightmare and a lot of spare smartphone parts. Some of those parts were reused when an updated Note seven classed as refurbished was offered for rental. Availability was very limited, though.
But Samsung didn't dump the Note 7 parts it had left over, and it turns out the company was just biding its time and waiting for the dust to settle. On July vii, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Notation Fan Edition smartphone in its abode territory of Republic of korea.
The Note Fan Edition is basically a prophylactic Note seven. Around 400,000 are expected to be offered for sale and all will employ a 3,200mAh battery. The battery that acquired all the bug in the Notation 7 was slightly larger at 3,500mAh. The new telephone volition also be around 30 percent cheaper than the Annotation seven, costing roughly $615, and will be available in four colors: Black Onyx, Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, and Silvery Titanium
While 400,000 isn't exactly a lot of phones—peculiarly when you consider Samsung recalled roughly ii.five million Annotation 7s and had parts ready for manufacturing many more—it'south meliorate than all those parts ending up in landfill. Samsung likely has quite a scrap of overlap with some of its more generic components all phones crave.
Don't expect to see the Note Fan Edition exterior of Republic of korea. All Samsung will say right now is that overseas sales "will be decided after." But don't be surprised if a few announced on eBay later this month at a premium price bespeak.
