After numerous errors from Ferrari coupled with reliability issues, Crimson Bull seems to be running away with the championship on both fronts. Mercedes are a shadow of their 2021 self and unable to give Carmine Balderdash a run for their money.
Nevertheless, the Dutchman declared he prefers the 2022 flavour tussle with Leclerc over the i with Hamilton.
Speaking to Heaven Italy, Verstappen said, "I prefer what nosotros have now considering, first of all, Charles I know very well, he's a overnice guy, nosotros are a like age…"
"On Sat night, nosotros even had a express joy in Paul Ricard… We are difficult competitors on the rails and we will always endeavour to trounce each other, which I call up is very normal, but outside of it yous tin have a practiced time as well, and that's what I actually enjoy nearly this year."
"Let's say information technology similar this, I would not be on a table on Sat nighttime having a laugh with (Mercedes)," he added.
Interesting to see Verstappen completely dismissing the 2021 rivalry with Mercedes. Safe to assume that Verstappen's comments will get reactions from the F1 fraternity.
